About Us

The Georgia Association of Multilingual Education (GAOME) is dedicated to promoting multilingualism and multiliteracy in Georgia. As an affiliate of the National Association of Bilingual Education (NABE), we leverage national resources and expertise to support local educators and students. Our partnership with NABE enhances our ability to provide cutting-edge research, instructional resources, and professional learning opportunities, ensuring that every student in Georgia has access to quality multilingual education. As the state’s principal professional organization for multilingual education, GAOME supports educators, administrators, families, students, and community members who are committed to advancing bilingualism and biliteracy.

We promote and strengthen the development of language and literacy in multiple languages, across all ages and educational pathways, while fostering collaboration among schools, higher education, industry, and communities.
